Electrophoretic
Electrophoretic coating lines are highly efficient and cost-effective. Electrophoretic painting is particularly suitable for the protection of steel, galvanised and aluminium components. Cataphoretic painting is used as a base coat for painting. However, cataphoretic painting can also be used for one-layer painting.
The main advantages of cataphoretic painting
- minimal environmental impact due to very low solvent content, minimal emissions, solid waste and waste water
- high corrosion resistance of the coating (over 1000 hours in salt spray) with a relatively low thickness
- uniform coating thickness over the entire surface, including hard-to-reach areas, edges and corners, even on complicated parts, thickness controllability
- high adhesion and mechanical resistance of the coating
- high cost-effectiveness - minimal paint loss due to practically closed material circuit (practically 100% paint recovery)
- easy automation and process control, low labour and low requirements for operating personnel
- no droplet or "veil" formation
- possibility of top coating with different types of varnishes
- safety - no fire or explosion precautions or special measures for occupational safety are required
- low impact on the working environment
